Movie Recommendations

Okay, I’m only going to say this once, I have never seen what some call “classics.”  People tend to look at me funny when I tell them that I’ve never seen one of these movies.  Feel free to make fun of me.  Doesn’t really make me want to see them, but maybe someday I will.

Movies I’ve never seen:

The Wizard of Oz (tried to watch this one, but couldn’t make it past the first 10 mins)

The Goonies

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (either one)

The Lord of the Rings trilogy (sorry, couldn’t make it past the first 30 minutes of the first one)

The Harry Potter Movies

Mary Poppins

Field of Dreams

What movies do your friends make fun of you for not watching?  What movies should I watch and why?

Lauren and just about every guy are always baffled that i haven’t seen air force one – which is strange considering how awesome Harrison Ford is.
    Also Three Amigos…
Almost all of your list ;-)
And Grimlins – but i know the rules :-D

I’ve seen part of Air Force One but not from beginning to end. Usually just the same part over and over. The Three Amigos is funny, but kind of stupid. Let’s just say it’s mindless tv. :) I’ll have to add Grimlins to my list of movies I’ve never seen. Forgot about that one. Oh, and for all the ladies out there, I’ve never seen An Affair to Remember.

    The Sandlot
    Miracle on 34th Street
    My Fair Lady

The only thing I remember about The Sandlot is that someone gets sick in the movie. And I haven’t seen the other two you listed.

Have you see Gone With The Wind from start to finish? There’s 3 to 5 hours (depending on whether you watch it on tv or DVD). :0)

I’m not sure about seeing it start to finish but I have seen most of it at least. Plus, I could just ask you to fill in the blanks of the parts I haven’t seen. ;)
